Plot Overview

Set against the historical backdrop of the 1999 IC-814 hijacking and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the story follows a high-risk covert operation to dismantle a terrorist network in Pakistan. Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan), a senior Indian Intelligence Bureau chief, recruits an unlikely asset—a 20-year-old Punjab youth named Hamza (Ranveer Singh) who was imprisoned for a revenge-driven crime. Sanyal moulds Hamza into a deadly weapon and sends him undercover into the brutal underworld of Karachi’s Lyari area. Hamza must navigate a dangerous nexus between powerful Karachi mafia gangs and the ISI to prevent imminent terror attacks on India. The film is the first of a two-part franchise, ending with a setup for a sequel expected in 2026.
