When is Eid ul-Fitr 2026?

Eid ul-Fitr 2026 Date in Saudi Arabia & UAE (Expected March 20)

Following the moon sighting attempt on Wednesday, 18 March, the crescent was not sighted. Consequently, Ramadan will complete 30 days, and Eid is expected to fall on Friday, 20 March 2026.

Eid ul-Fitr 2026 Date in India & Pakistan (Expected March 21)

Moon sighting is scheduled for the evening of Thursday, 19 March. If the crescent is visible, Eid will be on Friday, 20 March; otherwise, it will be celebrated on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

United States and Europe

Many calendars and astronomical calculations estimate the holiday for Friday, 20 March 2026. 

Public Holidays

The UAE Government has declared a holiday from 19 March to 22 March 2026. Qatar has announced a 7-day public sector holiday starting 17 March 2026.

Official Eid prayers in major UAE cities are scheduled between 6:12 AM and 6:25 AM on the first day of Shawwal.
